I had a call today from www.pcrepairsuk.biz who had a call from an area where they didn't have an engineer. They passed the customer number onto me and I spent five minutes of my time (and my phone bill) helping the customer solve their problem. The customer rang PC Repairs and told Lesley that I had fixed the problem and could they pay me. She didn't want to give out my number or address so I rang the guy to check he had no more problems and that the issue had been resolved. He wanted to pay me and I realised there is no easy way for customers to pay me for those "little" problems that (in reality) I would be charging a couple of quid for. If I am charging less than a tenner there really is no point in charging because by the time I've raised an invoice, waited for the payment, processed it, banked it, sent a receipt and a "thank you" email ... well, it's not worth it.
From now on - customers can buy me a drink online! By visiting my new site, customers can buy me a drink and the cash will be paid into my PayPal account. I promise that I'll keep the money in the account and, when I go on my next holiday, I will be the one at the bar absolutely hammered!
