It had to happen in the end but due to the high processing costs and long delays in getting cheques cleared we are going to stop accepting them as a method of payment from 30th November 2009.
We will continue to accept cash (
) and all major debit and credit cards via PayPal. We are sorting out a Streamline solution with our bank to further minimise charges and this will avoid any surcharges on large transactions.
Apologies for any inconvenience but the recent rapid increase in our turnover coupled with an increase in the number of cheques we are dealing with is making it hard to balance our cashflow whilst we wait for them to clear (particularly when people make hardware or large site purchases from us).
